Overview
Gmelius Email Reply Assistants are designed to save you time and effort by automatically generating draft replies to your emails in your personal inboxes. Working silently in the background, this intelligent feature analyzes your conversations and proactively creates drafts, allowing you to respond more quickly and efficiently.
How the Email Reply Assistants Work
Email Reply Assistants are available for all Gmelius subscriptions on the Growth, Pro and Enterprise plans (see our Pricing page).
An Email Reply Assistant operates in the background, analyzing your incoming emails to identify conversations that might require a response. When they detect a conversation needing a reply, they automatically generate a draft based on the email content and your communication patterns.
Gmelius AI is smart enough to determine which conversations are suitable for automated draft generation. In cases where our AI determines that a draft is not appropriate or feasible, it will add a Gmelius note to the conversation explaining the reasoning behind this decision. This ensures transparency and helps you understand when an assistant is actively working.

Leveraging Intelligent Context for Better Replies
Gmelius Email Reply Assistants go beyond simple keyword matching. They utilize Intelligent Context to create more relevant and personalized reply drafts by:
- Reading Previous Email Messages: The AI analyzes the history of your past email conversations to understand the context and ensure the draft aligns with the ongoing discussion.
- Using Web Content (via Sitemap): By accessing and analyzing content from your provided website (through the sitemap.xml), the AI can incorporate relevant information and knowledge into the draft replies.
Setting Up Your Email Reply Assistant
Go over to the Automation Tab in the Gmelius dashboard to turn on this feature.
To make the most of Gmelius Email Reply Assistants, you'll need to configure a few settings:
- Provide Your Website's Sitemap: The AI can leverage your website's content to provide more informed replies. Please enter the URL of your sitemap.xml file. It can usually be found by going to an address like
yourwebsite.com/sitemap.xml. If you need further assistance locating your sitemap please check our guide to Finding your sitemap, or please contact our support team at [email protected]. - Mandatory Consent for Data Usage: To continuously improve the tone, structure, and formatting of the generated replies, we securely store some encrypted email examples. This is a mandatory step that helps the AI better understand your communication style. You will be asked to explicitly consent to this data usage during the setup process. You have the ability to delete this data at any time through the Email Reply Assistant settings. You can learn more about how we handle your data in our Privacy Policy.

Gmelius Email Reply Assistants are powered by Google's advanced Gemini models, running on the Google Cloud Computing infrastructure. We are committed to your data privacy and adhere to a strict zero retention policy for your email content processed by these models.
